Scheduled Retreats in 2010
You have several choices when you decide to book a retreat at Alegria. You may choose a simple five day retreat, arriving Monday morning and leaving Friday afternoon. Or you may want to prolong your stay the week-end before or after the retreat by booking extra days on a B+B basis at Alegria. Or you may opt for a couple-to-couple intensive retreat if you cannot make it to any of the scheduled retreats. You may even decide to book a guided tour of the area to
- visit (and taste) the outstanding Armagnac and Cotes de Gascogne vineyards in the area,
- play golf at one or both of the excellent 18-hole golf courses in the vicinity,
- attend a bullfight or a course landaise or go skiing in the winter,
- luxuriate in the thermal spas at Barbotan and Eugenie-les-Bains,
- attend a stage de pilotage at the motor racing course at Nogaro
- walk, run or cycle through the woods and past the lakes of the Landes
- go swimming, canoeing and surfing on the Atlantic Coast
- spend time shopping in rhe exquisite boutiques of Bordeaux, Pau and Mont de Marsan
- attend the horse racing at the "English" city of Pau - it also has the oldest golf course in France
- walk a part of the St Jacques de Compostelle route towards Spain
- discover the regional irresistable cuisine: foie gras, maigret de canard, cassoulet and canard confit
- dicover the influence the British had on the local history and landscape

What is included and what does it cost?
Consider what a relationship-crisis can cost. I do not mean in pounds/euro/dollars - although it can be very expensive to try to resolve relationship disagreements - I am referring to the emotional pain, the sleepless nights and the mounting stress. Your relationship, rather than being a source of joy, may be causing you great distress. You have decided to do something about that...for yourself...and for your family. The Alegria retreats are serious programs for men and women who want to lead happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives. The decision to attend these retreats requires a firm commitment from both of you. We strive to offer you the best overall experience. To be able to do so, it is necessary to have strict policies governing all bookings even though they may seem a bit OTT.
- A deposit is required to secure your booking: £300pp, and is payable within 7 days of making your reservation, on-line or by cheque or by bank transfer.
- The full fee is due 21 days before arrival.
- Please make changes to reservations or cancellations at least 21 days prior to scheduled arrival date, changes or cancellations within this time frame will result in forfeit of the entire £300 deposit. There is a £200 administration fee for any reservation cancelled more than 21 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.
- There are no credits or refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

- These retreats are not recommended if:
- One partner is in severe personal crisis which significantly diminishes the ability to perform daily tasks.
- One or both partners suffer from significant substance abuse/addiction.
- There is a history of violence by one or both partners or either partner has safety concerns or concerns about self harm.
